HTC Aria, Android 2.1 powered for RM 1,799

18 August – The 2.1 Android powered HTC Aria was launched a few weeks ago on AT&T, now the device has made its way over to our shores. The Aria packs a 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and flashlight, there's 3.2 inch HVGA touchscreen display and an optical trackpad for input. The phone stands at 103.8 x 57.7 x 11.7 mm and weights 115g. Connectivity options include 7.2 HSDPA, WiFi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support. The phone will come with a 2GB microSD card.

Naturally, the Android will feature the HTC flavoured UI, the HTC Sense. With Android 2.1, users will get Google search, Google Maps, Google Maps Navigation, Gmail, YouTube and more. The new HTC Aria is available now for RM 1,799. The phone is also available from DiGI in early September, but there aren't any contract details just yet. Stay tuned for further details
