Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 to Be Released on September 2

Samsung is going to introduce its much-anticipated 7-inch Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 at IFA 2010, which will be held on September 2 in Germany.

The device will be based on Android operating system. Probably it will be a good competitor to the Apple’s iPad.

The 7-inch device will be based on Android 2.2 Froyo. Apart from that, it comes with Swype input interface, HD movie playback, video calling GPS Navigation, e-reader as well as Flash support. Moreover, it will feature a 3.2-megapixel camera.

It is able to reveal digital information in real time. Also the Galaxy Tab is equipped with the same graphics processor and microprocessor that are used on Galaxy S i9000 smartphone. The screen of the device is supportive to the resolution of 1024×600 pixels that is good for it.

It is expected that the tablet will be supportive to Microsoft Office suite by means of ThinkFree Apps that can be availed in the Android market. Although the maker did not release the specs of its device, it is expected that it will have an out-of-the-box support for DivX movies.
